What a weekend!

It was a busy weekend, but I love having my weekends off to spend with family and friends! I had Friday, Saturday and Sunday, as I do every other weekend. Friday was cleaning day. I hate cleaning day! Everytime Ansley took a nap I cleaned like crazy. She isn't  taking good naps during the day so I kicked it into high gear when she was sleeping to get everything done. I dusted, mopped, did laundry, swept the floors, cleaned the bathrooms and got out all of Ansley 3-6 months clothes! Ansley and I even adventrured to Walmart for some much needed groceries! (I just wish Thesea could give me all of her secrets on coupons, so I wouldn't spend a fortune). Friday night my parents came over for taco salad and after they left we spent a relaxing evening at home watching tv and being lazy! While we were watching tv Ansley rolled over!!! I couldn't believe it. I was playing on the floor with her eating ice cream, watching her do tummy time when she rolled over! I was so excited and made a huge deal out of it and she just looked at me like I was crazy!! She is getting so big and later that night I wrote her big milestone in her baby book!! *we are so proud of you Ansley Jane*

Saturday, we had Mya's second birthday party! It was a great time and it was nice visiting with everyone. Ansley slept through the entire party and we never heard a word out of her. :) Mya is the cutest little thing, (I do mean little, she weighs a little over 20lbs and Ansley weighs 14lbs, give little chunky monkey a few more months and she will weigh more than Mya lol). Ava also made an appearance at the party in her cute little big bow. (Ansley has the same bow too). Happy Birthday Mya! We love you! check out Brandy's blog for more details on the party. Here are a few pics from the party!
Bithday girl! :)

Zach and Ava! ~love the uggs~ Here mama is very stylish

Saturday after the party I headed over to see Kristi at my aunts house. We made a few bows for the girls and chatted a bit. It was great seeing them, seems like were all so busy that we never see each other. Later that night Zach and the guys watched the UFC fights at Fredo's and all the girls came over for some much need girl talk. Whitney, Brandy, Kristi and I visited for a while and it was great talking with everyone. We drank Corona (not Brandy) and had a relaxing evening. Thanks girls for coming over it was great chatting. :)

Sunday is family day. Always has been and probably always will be. We went to my parents in the morning and to Zach's grandparents that afternoon for Sunday dinner.

Here is little Miss Ansley in her new shades! :) It was a little windy so we had to wear a hat too! I love this pic!

Last week she discovered that she has feet! Now she is all about her little toes! She has them in her mouth all the time and is always grabbing them!

Busy weekend, but back to another full week of work. ugh.

~GREEN~

I'm a little behind on how our St. Patrick's day went. Zach turned 25 and requested chocolate chip cookies for his bday. I decided that I would be clever and of course make green cookies. I've made green beer before, but green cookies was a first for me. They turned out great and that afternoon Ansley and I delievered the green cookies to daddy at work! He was very excited and said they were delicious! His co-workers also thought they were great! Come to think of it I didn't even get to eat one cookie and I put all the hard work into making them. :) Ansley sat in her bumbo and watched mommy bake. She's a good little helper.

Later that night we ate chinese food with Zach's parents and headed home for a relaxing evening. Nothing really exciting to report! I had every intension of getting a family pic of all of us in green, but that didn't happen.

Bad mommy!

I'm sure thats how she is feeling after all the trauma she was exposed to yesterday! Ansley had her 4 month shots at 3:00 yesterday and her EARS PIERCED at 5! I had to adventure to the Doctor's office yesterday alone. Zach had to work and was unable to get off. She was suppose to have her shots today, but they called yesterday morning saying that our Doctor was leaving town tomorrow and wouldn't be back until the 1st. (thats quite the vaca).  So Ansley and I adventured alone for the blood screaming cry. After her 3 shots and 2 bandaids later, we were on our way home. She cried for a few seconds afterwards, but after a little cuddle time with mommy she was much better. Ansley currently weighs 14lbs 7oz and is 25inches long!

We have had an appointment for over a week now to get her ears pierced with her BFF Jaycie. (you should always do something new that hurts with your BFF). I picked Zach up from work and we headed for another blood screaming cry! Jamie have talked for over a month now about how we wanted to get their ears pierced together. Jaycie went first and Ansley followed. Both screamed for a few seconds, but after cuddle time with their daddy's they were fine. Ansley's look great and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out. She hasn't bothered them today and seems to be acting fine. She has been running a low grade fever today and I continue with tylenol every 4 hours. 5 ouchie's in one day is a little too much for this little one.

Ansley has been sleeping great for the last couple of nights! sleeping from 9:30 to 5! I can't complain about that! She will eat at 5 then go back to sleep for another few hours. I hope were onto something good.

After all the trauma we went to my grandmas for dinner. My mom was suppose to make me chicken and noodles for my bithday dinner, but forgot so my grandma offered to make me dinner! It was delicious! Nothing better than homemade noodles! Thanks grandma dinner was great!

before shots and ears pierced! still liking mommy

waiting with daddy and puking of course! (must be the nerves lol)

one, two, three!!!

this isn't fun

all done! This face breaks my heart :(

All better with daddy

BFF's after all the pain!

after the drama and not mad at mommy anymore :)

Check out the leggings! Love them and of course an ETSY purchase!! :) Thanks luke for taking pics for me while I waited in the other room for the pain to be over. Sorry I don't have any close ups of the ears yet.

4 months!

I know I say this every month, but 4 months already!?! Ansley is growing so much and everytime I look at her she has changed in some way. I feel like I'm not getting to spend enough time with her now that I'm back to work, but I really try on my days off not to be distracted by other things and spend my days with her! Here is what she has been up to in the last month:
  • Started eating ceral from a spoon! Alhough, the past two days she has refused to open her mouth and eat! I'm not getting too concerned yet. She has her whole life to use utensils! :)
  • Able to hold her head up with no problem! She loves being in her exersauser, jumperoo and bumbo!
  • Still doesn't sleep at night! She has been waking up only once the past couple of night, usually around 1 or 2 then sleeps until 7! I'm still very jealous of all you mothers that get to sleep all night! :)
  • Wearing 0-3 month clothes and size 1 diapers!
  • Has discovered that she has a voice and loves to scream at the top of her lungs! Its soooo funny. Zach and I just crack up watching her
  • Has started laughing! I play on the floor with her at night and she gets to laughing and we all start laughing. awww, if only I could freeze this time in our lives!
  • Still isn't liking tummy time, but seems to be doing better with it and holds her head up really well on the floor! I'm sure she will be a late bloomer on rolling over.
  • I get her to sleep with her taggy blankie and binky! Too cute.
  • Takes all her naps in her crib!
  • Has started wearing jewelry! She is wearing a bracelet that Whitney made her all the time. It has left a few battle wounds on her face, but I think she will survive! Grandma and Grandpa bought her a cross necklace for her baptism (I forgot to put that in my blog about her baptism). *sorry gma and gpa* I'm going to do a small post about all the bling that she has already! :)
  • A very happy baby and she defineatly knows her mommy and daddy
  • Stayed the night with Zach's parents for the first time last weekend!
  • Only 2 more months of nursing. I'm a little sad, but at the same time I'm ready to be done. She isn't nursing from me very well anymore, but I continue to pump, so I guess thats all that really matters. I give props to any mom that can breast feed for the entire first year! My goal from the very beginning was 6 months and I think I'm going to meet that.
  • Puts everything in her mouth! Her hands are always in her mouth and any toy that she gets ahold of goes straight to her mouth.
  • Grabs all the toys in her bouncer and floor mat with no problems
  • got baptized!
Until next month :)

Check it Out!

I'm loving my new blog design aren't you? The wonderful Laura from elephant juice design did this makeover for me! We actually did a little trade. I made a couple of bows for her and a newborn photo shoot that she did last weekend and she re-did my blog! I think I got the better part of the deal! :) Thanks again Laura! I like LOVE it! I know nothing about computers and I'm so thankful that she was willing to help me out!

Over the weekend Ansley turned 4 months old! She had cereal from a spoon for the first time! She wasn't to sure about it at first, but seems to be getting the hang of it now! She is still getting cereal in her bottle at night and with a spoon around 4 or 5o'clock. Here are a few messy pics from her first bites!! :) By the time we were done eating she had cereal in her hair, all over her hands and as you can see all over her face and clothes! I believe this was outfit number two of the day and after we were finished she was changed again!

Messy girl!

As you can tell by my table, I've been working on hair bows like crazy!

Baptism!

Wow, its been a while since I've blogged and I am missing it! It has been a crazy couple of weeks! I've been so busy at work that by the time I get home I am completely exhausted! After I play with Ansley and we get her ready for bed I can barely keep my eyes open!

Anyway, Ansley Baptism went great! She was a perfect angel through the baptism! She was asleep when we started the baptism, but shortly woke up after the bright lights were shining in her eyes! She never made a sound and didn't mind the "water" on her head! I forgot my camera so i'm stealing pics from Zach's parents! After the basptism was over things went from great to bad real quick! She started fussing and crying and was burning up from the dress! Zach's dad and I quickly exited the church and changed her clothes, but she still wasn't happy. I tried feeding her, but she wasn't liking that either! So needless to say we spent the remainder of the service in the lobby area. I hate it when she gets fussy becasue everyone turns around and stares at you. I'm sure they don't mean anything by it, but I still feel terrible!

After chruch we went to eat mexican food! Lots of family attended the lunch and it was great seeing everyone! Thanks to everyone that attended, we greatly appreciate your love and support! Here are a few pics from her big day! :)
trying her dress on before the big day!

After church

great gma taking care of Ansley before church started

The baptism

Pastor Beth Wilke! What a sweet lady!

I know this dress took Zach's grandma a while to make! She is so crafty and we are so blessed to have her in our lives! She did a great job on the dress and we couldn't of asked for anything better! As I was putting it on her for the first time I told her and Teresa that it looks like a wedding dress! It's form fitting around the waist and widens out at the hips just like a wedding dress! :) It is beautiful and I even joked that maybe when Ansley gets married her flower girl could wear this dress.

Thank you again Carolyn! We will be putting this with all her other keepsakes and she will forever know that you made her baptism dress! I'm sure she will love it just as much as we do!!

Yesterday, I turned 26! Yes, I know i'm getting old and i'm feeling it too! :) I worked all day and after I got home Zach, Ansley and I went out to dinner. After 45 minutes of waiting on our food and Ansley decided she was getting hungry and tired we decided to take our food to go! Ansley is spending the night with Zach's parents on Saturday so we can celebrate! I'm not sure what were doing yet but, since Zach's birthday is Wednesday we will celebrate together!

Ansley is having big HUGE issues with constipation! She will go 3 or 4 days without pooping! She gets really cranky that third day and nothing seems to help. I tried apple juice and the rectal thermometer again, but nothing seemed to help. I finally called the doctor yesterday and they suggested over the counter supositories. Zach's mom picked Ansley up from the babysitter yesterday and she got the privilege of inserting that! :) She pooped right away and again a few minutes later! She was feeling a lot better after that and slept better last night! (She was getting up every 2 hours the last couple of nights). Zach let me sleep last night and he got up with Ansley. What a great bday present! Thank you honey!

I'm working today, but off the rest of the weekend! Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Ten on Tuesday or Thursday!

I'm kind of liking this ten on Thursday (I started this on Tuesday, but didn't get it finished)! I feel like I can get all the little things that we are doing or new things that I'm loving without doing a big post on each of them!

  1. I Love ETSY! Love it. I even limit my time during the week that I'm on there! Everyday I find something new that I think Ansley needs!
  2. We have the best babysitter in the world! Zach text me on Tuesday while I was at work saying that Peggy made us supper! Manacotti and carrott cake! It was delicious! Thanks Peggy!
  3. Ansley's batism went really well! The rest of church not so good, but more on that later.
  4. I haven't watched TV in three and a half months now! No joke. when I'm at home my day is filled with cleaning, running errands and taking care of Ansley. I do watch some TV at work and I try to watch 16 and Pregnant every Tuesday after Ansley goes to bed, but I'm usually so tired that I can't stay awake to watch the whole thing. Yes we have DVR, but still never watch all the shows I did before I had Ansley
  5. My mom is starting her own business from home! I'm super excited for her and hope it does well. She bought an embroidery sewing maching and wants to start a business personalizing fun things! I have great vision's for this business and many cute ideas for her to make. I've said this before that I can't sew. No joke. Ask my mom I can't even sew a straight line, but she is very talented and does a great job. She's starting off by my making tea towels, burp rags and bloomers! All are adorable and she is planning on selling them at a local shop, until she gets things going! Congrats mom can't wait to start making some cute things with you.
  6.  My aunt Brenda taught me to knit on Sunday!! I'm so excited! I'm not very good and I'm a little slow, but I think I have the concept down. She told me that I needed a goal, so i'm attempting a hat! Wish me luck with that and thanks again Brenda. I never realized what knitting entailed. You have to cast on or maybe it was cast off (I can't remember now), knit then pearl! Are you kidding me all that!! Finally, she decided that we would skip the pearl part for now and concentrate on knitting alone! :)
  7. Ansley moved to her crib on Thursday night! She has slept in her big girl bed every night since then. Its not all night, but I'm hoping soon it will be.
  8. I was giving Ansley cereal at night, but have decided to start her on formula. Some nights she will sleep til 2 or 3 and other nights she is up at midnight, three and six (sometimes 7:45 if I'm lucky). She didn't like the formula at first, but seems to be doing better at taking it and will only eat it if its warm! She's already a picky eater and she can't even eat real food yet! :) She got her picky eating from me!
  9. Zach and I had date night on Friday! We ate some mexican food and of course had a margaritta then went to the movies! My parents watched Ansley for a few hours for us and we had a great night alone. I promised myself that after Ansley was born that we would go out alone once a month and enjoy our time together.
  10. I work all weekend and hope to start on the baptism post this weekend! Enjoy your weekend off (if you have it off).
