Food Pantry 5K

Grandma signed us all up for the food pantry 5K this year. Zach and I haven't been running hardly at all lately, so needless to say we were not thrilled about this race. However, we did really well and Zach placed 1st in his age group! Proud of him. Ansley, Mya and Macy participated in the kids race and walked the 1 mile with their grandma's! I need to upload the picture of all of us from my phone at the race! :)
My pics are all out of order!

Dirt

Now that our yard is a complete dirt pile, thanks to the septic system, Karson is in heaven! Nearly everyday he is digging in the dirt and picking up sticks. He loves to take all his trucks outside and load the dirt. He sure is loving country living!

 All that work is tiring! :) love you little man

Pumpkin Patch {Webster}

We headed to Quail Valley Farms for a fun morning at the Pumpkin Patch. I'm sure most of you know that our great friends own/run the patch, so we spend all of October there. We have been there nearly every weekend. The kids love it. They run around and play all afternoon while the adults work. This year I've been helping a lot in the kitchen. My main job has been baking sugar cookies! I've made so many batches of cookies I can recite the recipe in my sleep. We have such a fun time there and make so many memories. I was actually working out there the day Ansley came with Webster, but I was able to follow her class all over the patch! :)

Apache

Meet Apache! She's my cousins horse that is visiting for a few weeks! Ansley was so excited when she arrived! She rode her all over the place! She feeds her and brushes her daily. Lately "Patchy" has been getting a little frustrated with the kids!  Ansley has fallen off of her once and then Patchy went a little too fast! Ansley has gotten right back on, but hasn't been wanting to ride her nearly as much. I thought that maybe walking her on the rope outside of the fence would be good exercise, but Patchy gets a little too excited and tries to take off running! So, to make a long story short I'm not sure we are ready for a horse! Oh, and she bit Karson on the finger last week! Patchy has also figured out where the food is at and stands in front of the door and doesn't want to move when its dinner time! She is a great horse and does really well with the kids, but I'm not sure Ansley is ready for a horse!

Zoo {Webster}

Ansley had her first field trip of the year earlier this month! We headed to the zoo for a fun filled day! Zach met us at the zoo and grandma Teresa took Karson to look at all the animals. No siblings are allowed to go on the trip, so grandma drives the kids to the zoo then heads off with Karson for a fun day! Daddy tagged a longed with Karson and grandma! There are always a ton of parents that go to the zoo, so the groups are very small! Brandy met Macy at the zoo, so we all walked together!  Here's our group! Ansley, Macy and Chloe! Poor Macy got stung by a bee during lunch time and decided that she had enough of the zoo, so they left! Poor Macy! :( The poor girl was just trying to eat some apple sauce when she got attacked! I'm pretty sure her mommy took her to Target for a little retail therapy! ;)
Ansley found Paisley and Karson after lunch, so we walked with them for a while and left about 1pm.

 Karson was not a fan of being attacked by the sheep

 This is what I got when I asked Karson to look at the camera! Crazy boy!
