LOVE!!!!!!

Ansley had her pictures taken this morning and all went well. She slept for about 20-30min, but was a happy baby when she was awake. I really felt like today's session went a lot better and can't wait to see them! Well, my wait didn't last long! The sneak peak is already up! I love them!!!! Click here to check them out! Laura you did an amazing job and can't wait to see the rest.

As I sit here and look and the pictures i know how blessed we really are. Ansley Jane you are perfect and even though you have only been in our lives for 11 days, our lives have been forever changed. We love you so much and I can't imagine loving anything more than you. You have brightened our lives, shown us what true love is really about and we are so proud of you. I love feeding you and in the middle of a feeding you break out in a huge smile! awww you melt my heart and we love you so much. You have touched so many lives in the 11 days you have been born and are loved by so many. I hope you know how much you are truly loved and cared for.

Wish us luck!

With round number 2 tomorrow with pictures i am praying that all goes well and our little bundle of joy sleeps through it. I'm so excited to have them taken and can't wait to see what an awesome job laura does.

We have been busy this past weekend and the last part of last week. Thursday, we made a quick trip to Derby to Target. We needed a few things for Ansley that walmart doesn't carry, plus i needed some nursing bras. No place in this town carries them! Awww the joys of living in a small town. After our trip to Target we stopped by my grandparents so my grandpa could see Ansley for the first time. He just carried her all over the house and it was great seeing them together.

Friday, was Ansley's one week doctors appointment. All went well and she gained 2 ounces. I was so worried that she wasn't getting enough to eat, but all my worries are gone now with a weight gain. She continues to sleep most of the day and is up from about 3-5:30am. Hopefully, this passes soon. :)

Saturday and Sunday were such busy days that its all a blur. We visited with lots of family and Ansley made her first trip to my parents and Sunday dinner at Zach's grandma's.

Happy Thanksgiving and I hope to get to the Christmas tree farm this weekend!!

Not sleeping beauty!!!

At least not for her pictures yesterday! She is every other time :). Yesterday morning we had Ansley's newborn pictures taken or we at least attempted. Laura came over at 1oam to take her pictures and any other day even today that time would have been perfect, but not yesterday! We were up most of that night and I just knew that she would sleep, but she was wide awake and not very happy most of the time. She ate 30min before Laura got her and ate again 15min after she arrived. As she was naked she started pooping and pooped on Zach, her swing and chaning pad!! After an hour of Laura being here I asked if she could come back because i really want pictures of her sleeping and naked in all the cute things that Laura had brought. So take two is scheduled for next Tuesday at 9:30 so wish us luck and again my apologies to Laura.

Ansley is continuing to do well eating and pooping and sleeping like every little newborn. If i could only get her to sleep 4 hours in a row at night and not in the day things would be perfect, but oh well she is perfect and thats all that matters.

I continue to worry about every little thing from germs to being too cold and of course SIDS. I can be soooooo tired at night, but i think what if she stops breathing and then of course I can't sleep becasue I have to get up and check on her. We even have the monitor that detects if she isn't breathing after 15 seconds, but i still continue to worry. Awww the worries of a first time mom. Speaking of mom's my mom came over to help watch Ansley this morning. Zach went to help my dad sort cattle, so she came to visit for the morning. Thanks again.

We have a small wedding to attend to Saturday morning and that will be our first trip out with little Ansley, besides from her doctors appointment on Friday. I don't understand why Doctors don't make house visits when it comes to newborns. So now I'll be sitting in the offce Firday morning looking around at all the sick people and stressing that they are going to get us sick!! UGH. I think I'm starting to sound like a crazy mom and she's not even a week old yet lol.

Were home!

Yesterday evening around 5:45pm we made it home! Everything went great and she looks amazing! She is soooo little and looks like a perfect angel.

After all my blogging on Thursday and Friday I can't believe she's actually here and I wasn't just "thinking" that I was having contractions! :)

Around 9am on Friday maybe a little before that I decided that it was time to go to the hospital. My contractions were about 5-7minutes apart and lasted about 30-40seconds. When we arrived Dr Miller was already there making his morning rounds! He checked me and said that I was dilated to a 3-4 and that i was indeed in labor!! He asked me if I wanted him to break my water to speed the process along. We decided to go ahead and let him, since he wouldn't be back over until after 12. Things were going well and I was getting through the contractions pretty well, then they decided to start me on Pitocin (too speed things up more)! Let me just say that Pitocin is the devil. My contractions started to be 1-3minutes apart and strong as hell!!! I asked for Iv pain medication and that didn't really seem to help. At about 1pm I decided that the pain was too intense and that I wanted an epidural! Of course I meant now not 30-45min later! By that time I was in soooo much pain that I just cried and cried some more. As the anesthetist was putting in my epidural I was sitting on the edge of the bed holding onto Zach and crying uncontrollably!! (This is making my eyes water as I type this). I could tell Zach was scared and nervous and didn't know what to do, but he was a great supporter and about 20min later I was in heaven. Very, very tired but the pain was gone! I slept for about an hour and the nurses checked me again and I was completely dilated to a 10! They went and called the doctor and wanted me to start pushing right away. I was soooo tired and just asked them if i could sleep a little longer, but no such luck, we were going to have a baby now!! After about 45min to an hour later little miss Ansley was here and healthy. Its very hard to push and push right when you have no feeling in your legs. She has 10 finger and toes and looks adorable!!

Ansley is continuing to do well and is eating very well!! She is latching on great and I hope she is getting enough to eat!

Last night we had a rough night. We seem to have our days and nights mixed up, but hopefully tonight goes better!!

Pics to come I promise

She's HERE!

She arrived at 4:25pm 11-13-09. Ansley Jane McCaslin weighed 7lbs 6.8oz and is 20 inches long! She is a healthy little princess!

Not the best of pictures, but they will be home soon and will post more! Mom and Dad are doing good and glad to have their little girl here and healthy. Miss was pretty tired and worn out...she has been up since 12:30am as you can tell by her previous post :-)

I'm so happy for you both!! She is so beautiful and such a blessing!! The years to come will be so much fun!!

Lots of Love
~B

Why am I up??

Well here it is 4am and I am up looking at blogs and counting contractions! I've been up since 1230 with of course contractions! They are no where close enough for me to go to the hospital, but they sure hurt. Right now I'd say I'm having braxton hicks contractions and are lasting about 20-40seconds.

I'm suppose to be at work today, but called in at 1245 when I started getting contractions, but I'm pretty sure I was having contractions yesterday.

My husband is an early riser so maybe in a couple of hours he will be up to entertain me for a while longer, but I'm pretty sure today is the day!!

Not much longer!!!!!

Yesterday I had my final doctors appointment before Ansley makes her big appearance to the world. I'm still dilated to a 1 and she stripped my membranes to help induce labor! OUCH!! It was very uncomfortable. She also scheduled us to be induced on Monday. We have to arrive at the hospital at 7pm on Monday night to get the process going!!! I'm nervous, excited and scared all at the same time. I've been having cramping most of the day today, so maybe she will arrive tonight :)

Zach and I made several meals yesterday, so we don't have to cook when we arrive home! We made chicken spaghetti (B's recipe), enchiladas, lasagna and today while i was gone Zach made tater tot casserole!! Thanks honey for all your help cooking!! :)

I'm packed for the most part and have Ansley's bag ready. I bought a car seat base off of craigslist today for $20. So now we have 2 for our other car or for grandparents.

Don't really have much more to update about. The next time I post a blog will be from Brandy stating that Ansley has arrived with of course pics to share! Thanks again B for blogging for me.

Sorry this a random/short post!! Just have lots on my mind!

Behind.....

I believe this is the story of my life these days! I'm always behind when it comes to blogging. Anyway, Wednesday I had another doctors appointment. still dilated to a 1, but my cervix is thinning! He told me he would induce me next week if I wanted to, but I think I've talked myself out of that. I've heard too many bad stories about being induced, so I'm going to hold out. He told me the best thing I could do was walk. So I've been walking and walking like crazy. Especially at work, but still no contractions or baby.

I have lots of pictures to share from my baby shower that was 2 weeks ago! See I'm behind like crazy! Also, I have pictures from Kristi's baby shower to share. So I'll get to it and stop talking.
