9 more days!

Of work that is! I'm counting down the days I have left of work and can't wait to have 10 weeks off with my new little bundle of joy! I had a doctors appointment on Wednesday and I am officially dilated to a 1 and making great progress (according to Dr. Miller). I've been having lower abdominal cramping that comes and goes for several days now! He was pretty excited to hear that I was having the cramping and told me that 18 days is a long time away!! WHAT!!??? Are you kidding me?! I've been waiting for 9 months I'm pretty sure 18 days (now only 16) is not that far away!! Maybe I'll go early! :)

Last Saturday I had my last baby shower hosted by Zach's mom, grandma and aunt. It was a great turn out and Ansley got some great things! Lots of handmade quilts/blankets and several other cute things!

Zach and I ran to Target yesterday to finish getting everything thing that we needed for Ansley! The pack- and -play and changing pad cover were the main things! I think we are officially ready for her arrival and I washed her coming home outfit yesterday as well.

As I was doing my morning blog reading today I stumbled upon this!!

How cute is this!!! I am going to be making Ansley and Mya both one next week for their hair!
Sorry I don't have many pics to share today, I'm at work all weekend! ugh.

busy upcoming weekend!

This is going to be another busy weekend! Full of fun and time with family and friends! Tomorrow morning at 11 I have my maternity pictures taken, a baby shower at 2 and dinner to celebrate a friends 30th birthday at 6!! Busy day and can't wait to see how the maternity pics turn out! I'll post more about who is taking them later :)

Sunday, Brandy and I are throwing a baby shower for my cousin Kristi! My mom and I have been busy making mints today and getting everything ready! Maybe by Sunday they will have a name picked out for this little princess!

Zach has been busy the past couple of days helping his parents build a new porch on thier house! So, I'm sure he will be busy all weekend helping them with that!

Last night we celebrated my aunt Rhonda's 50th birthday! (She's probably going to kill me for saying how old she is) I was late of course because of work, but had a good evening with family! My grandpa informed me that my face and butt were getting big!! Got to love what he says!! lol.

Have a good weekend and I'll try to blog on Sunday!

Weekly

Today I went to the doctor and now I will go every week until she arrives! Everything went well and I am dilated to a finger tip! (whatever that means). He put it as I am starting to dilate, but not quite to a 1 yet!! Keep your fingers crossed that I will continue to dilate and deliver on time!

I think I can officially say that Ansley's room is finished and just waiting on her arrival. I need to do a little more laundry, but I'm going to wait until my last baby shower this weekend to do it!

My good friend Jamie just found out today that she is having a girl and due in February! Congrats to her and Luke! That makes 3 of us having girls and now were just waiting to see what Brandy is having!
36 weeks and trust me I'm counting days!!

30 days!!

That's right just 30days left and little miss Ansley will be here! I have been organizing and cleaning her room like crazy! Zach hung up all the shelves and other wall hangings this week! Her room is coming together finally!

Here is what is going on with me and how I've been feeling lately:

  • My hands and feet hurt all the time! The joints in my hands hurt more than anything, but my feet and hands are definitely swollen! I haven't been able to wear my wedding ring in weeks!
  • I'm getting up to pee at least 2-3 times in the middle of the night! If i only get up once I'm going to have a great day :)
  • Ansley is still moving like crazy and kicking me in the bladder and ribs all the time! Doctor said on Friday that she is head down, but hasn't dropped yet.
  • Still no stretch marks on my belly!! coco butter is still my friend for now!
  • I can't get any of my pre-prego pants on over my thighs!!
  • I've started packing her diaper bag for the hospital! My mom and sister found a really cute pink and brown diaper bag at sears for 24 dollars! I love it!!
  • my colostrum is still coming in Gross!
  • my belly button is an outie and has been for a while now!
  • Can't see anything past this big belly and shaving is not fun anymore! Its pretty sad when you get short of breath just trying to shave
  • Work continues to go well and feel great most of the time when I'm there!
  • very nervous and scared about the delivery!! Still going to try to go all natural, but no promises! I'm sure the epidural will be my best friend
  • have our first parenting class tonight!
  • still only having a pepsi 2-3 times a week!
  • Had a few contractions a couple of weeks ago, but nothing since then!

Only 4 more weeks and can't wait to see you Ansley!!! I'm starting to think our parents are more ready than we are!

Zach and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary yesterday! We went to Kansas City over the weekend and had a good time! Yesterday we had lunch at Neives and went to a movie! Happy anniversary honey!!

Have a good weekend!

Creative!!

For those of you that know me and my family know that I am surrounded by creative/crafty people! I have received lots of hand made things from family as Ansley's arrival quickly approaches! My grandma Brenda made 2 quilts, my mom has made tons of burp rags and bibs for her! She also made her an adorable flannel quilt! I love it and so did all my friends/family at the baby shower! She is currently making my cousin Kristi one that has an elephant in it! (it looks adorable as well). Zach's grandma Carolyn made an adorable bonnet and booties for her! I love them and she will be getting her newborn pictures in them naked:) (Laura I have lots of outfits/hats for her to wear in her pics lol). My aunt Brenda who has got to be the most talented lady I know! She makes everything and anything imaginable! She made her this cute sign to hang on the wall! I can't wait to see all the things she has made for Kristi's baby.

Zach's grandma Carolyn made these!

Loved by so many!!

Last weekend I had another baby shower, given to me by my cousin Kristi, and my two great friends Jamie and Brandy! It was a great shower and the decorations were beautiful! The girls really out did themselves! :) Since Ansley's room is pink and brown so were the decorations at the baby shower! Brown and pink cupcakes that my mom and aunt made were delicious! So girly and fun! We got tons of great gifts and she is already loved by so many! Only 6 more weeks til her arrival!!

table decorations

the gifts were put into this crib! Love this idea! This is actually Kristi's crib for her new little one that still remains nameless lol

I love this idea!

Yummy cupcakes!

Can you believe that all 4 of us are pregnant! lol! I can't believe that we will have four children all the same age! I can't wait to see what the future holds for all of our children! As you can see from the pictures Kristi and I are the fats ones. (We both say were fat so don't worry she won't be offended) I was 33 weeks, kristi: 25, Jamie: 18 and Brandy: 9.

sorry not the greatest pic

Things have been a little bitter sweet in our household this past week! Zach was officially laid off. I missed him so much in the evenings when he was working, but I know know this is going to be a long process with no job. I tell him all the time that I'm jealous that he will get to stay at home with Ansley when I go back to work. I know he will enjoy his one on one time with her, but I wish it was me staying at home (I hope that doesn't sound selfish, but all of you know that I want to be a stay at home mom).

Have a great week and thank you to everyone that attended the baby shower! Thanks Jamie, Brandy and kristi you girls are great friends!!
