Karson: 18 months

Yikes, time is flying by! My children are growing like crazy and I'm not sure I like it! Yes, its nice not to have to take a diaper bag every where we go.  The kids can both walk and for the most part and can tell us what they want. Yes, I ocassionally miss the snuggles of a newborn baby, but when people tell you that it gets eaiser as they get older; boy, are they WRONG! Right now we are constantly fighting teeth and everything that goes along with teething. The poop, the crankiness, the awaken in the middle of the night, the tylenol, the list goes on and on! Of course I miss the smell of baby lotion, the newborn giggles and the itty bitty clothes, but for now I am happy with where we are and the ages that my children are at. Karson has learned so much in the last couple of weeks and is starting to talk like crazy! :) Here is what he is up to:

• wearing 18-24 month clothes, size 5-6 in shoes
• ready for size 5 diapers, but I'm finishing up our last box of 4's!
• has to wear huggies nite time diapers. They are a size 5! If not he pee's all over his bed! Yes, they are times that he even pee's out of the nite time diapers! I swear we never had these problem's with Ansley
• Has had several hair cuts, thanks to daddy
• walking and running like crazy
• his favorite words or most common words: dad, ball, horse, pop pop (pop tart) duck, thanks, nak (snack),  dog, door, bull, bus, "baa"
• has said and can say: light, cat,
• can sign: more and please
• has 14-15 teeth in! We are almost done!
• having issues with diaper rashes! poor little guy :(
• loves bath time, when his bottom isn't red and sore
• drinking soy milk in the morning, nap and bed
• still having allergy issues with dairy. Although it may be getting better. Can eat goldfish and cheese its!
• knows where his nose, eyes, ears, toes, mouth and hair are at.
• Can go get you a diaper when asked
• Knows where his socks and shoes are kept
• loves fruit, little smokies, veggie straws, pop tarts, juice, dried fruit and fruit snacks
• Fingers crossed, we haven't been to the doctor since his 12 month shots! We have had a cold and runny nose, but I think that was more teeth than anything!
• Hits, bites, pulls hair and pinches! He is a mean little boy
• When you tell him "no," he looks at you, smiles then does it
• A smack of the hand or bottom breaks his heart
•  loves to play with his horses and balls
• loves to read! I swear we ready 5 plus books a day!
• attends music class on Monday's
• loves to be held
• snuggle's with daddy every night for bed time!
• In bed by 7-7:15 and up by 6-6:30. The sleeping has gotten better in the last couple of weeks
• He has to wear a onesie everyday! This kid pulls at and eats his diaper if not! such a pain! My house is covered in little pieces of his daiper! Ready for him to out grow this!
• loves being outside
• he is a very organized child and likes everything all in a row. He will move his horses all over in the basement. Stacking them in a nice order
• loves to eat crayons and markers
• loves to put stickers on things and take them off! this will entertain him!!
• likes to take off the safety latches for the cleaning supplies (the things that are suppose to keep the kids out of the cabinets) ! I think I need to call the company. He does this daily!
• like's to watch/play with sissy on the iPad
• loves to "work" with papa mike. Loves hauling hay, riding in the tractor, the four wheeler and feeding the cows. Dad says the hardly makes a sound in the tractor
• likes the golf cart and gma and gpa mccaslin's
• likes to watch Dora and Mickey Mouse in the mornings with sissy

 

From my 8lb 12oz baby to this!! 27lbs of pure boy!
