Art Class

I enrolled Ansley in art class through the Art's and Humanities. It started two weeks ago and she has been busy making tons of stuff! Cheryl the very nice teacher told me that Karson could attend too. He of course comes with us, but last week he participated. If that's what you want to call it. I think its a lost cause, because all he asks for is "naks." After the class is over Cheryl, hands out healthy snacks for the kids to take home. It only took one class for little Mr. Karson to figure that out! So, he doesn't care about coloring or gluing, he cares about snacks!!  From the time we walk into the class until its over he just repeats "naks!"  The boy will snack all day long! :) Ansley, loves it and listen's very well. I try to let her to all the cutting and gluing herself! :) She's getting pretty good at both!

Ear, Nose and Throat

Last Wednesday was a busy day for us! The allergist and ENT all in the same morning! The kids were troopers and we were in and out of Wichita in just a couple of hours. Ansley and Karson both have tubes in their ears! We go back every 6 months for a check up. This time Ansley's right ear tube was starting to come out. The PA used some forceps and pulled it the rest of the way out! Ansley did great and never moved a muscle. Afterwards, he put the tube in a purple "treasure box" and told her that the tube fairy would come! Which reminds me, he hasn't came yet! Opps! Karson's were both still in place! So, that leaves us with 3 ear tubes! We go back in 6 months to give them another $40 copay for a 5 minute appointment! Got to love health care! I mean really, I need to pay two copays for the same room/visit! ugh. :)

Karson: Allergist

BIG news for us! We had an appointment last week at the allergist and Karson is officially not allergic to dairy!! Wahoo! That was a long year with no dairy products! He can't get enough of mac and cheese!! :) They re-tested his back and he still has allergies to: Egg, dogs and peanuts. He eats peanuts with no reaction, so the doctor said to continue on with what we are doing. The allergies that he currently has, have gone down in sensitivity since one year ago! Yahoo!!! My dad told me that my little brother had the same allergies as a baby and he out grew them all! Let's, hope the same is for us!! :) He was not happy about them pricking his back, but we made it through the testing ok and go back in a year! :) So happy!!

 

He still has allergies, but they are so much better! I'd show you his back from the last time, but blogger isn't letting me! :(

Grand Lake Casino!

We had a fun little weekend getaway with our great friends! We left Saturday morning and arrived 3 hours later to Grove, OK. A small little town, but with 6 of us, we had a great time! Brad, Whit, Brandy, Fredo, Zach and I loaded up in the van and headed for Grove. We all had purchased this little vaca before Christmas! It came with lodging and free casino money!! We all came out ahead and left that casino with some extra money!! :) Afterwards we went to a hole in the wall country bar! They had a live band! It was a pretty good time! The guys golfed when we arrived and the girls did a little shopping! :) Thanks again guys, it was a great time away! :)

Happy Birthday Mya & Macy!

The girls had their birthday parties last weekend at pizza hut! The kids decorated rock people and ate pizza! The girls are growing so fast! I can't believe Mya is 5 and Macy is 3! Yikes, time is flying by! Mya had a unicorn party and Macy: Hello Kitty!

Ansley has decided that she is having a Daisy Duck party, so it looks like Mickey Mouse characters are going to be another party for us! :)

 

I'll have to steal pics from Brandy's blog! I don't have any of Mya! I forgot my camera, so these are all off the iphone.
