First trip to the zoo

We finally made our first trip to the zoo two weeks ago! (Yikes i'm behind again) We left bright and early Saturday morning about 8:45, me, Brandy and all 3 kids loaded up in the jeep and headed for the Sedgwick County Zoo! It was HOT to say the least. I think we were there a total of 2.5 hours and trust me it was too long!! We figured if we arrived some what early in the morning it wouldn't be so hot, but we were mistaken and I'm sure we picked the hotest day of the summer to go! Anyway, we had a great time and I'm pretty sure all the kids had a good time. Everyone was very well behaved and we had no major breaks down, so in all it was a success. Kristi was running a little late, so we decided to visit the petting zoo until she arrived. (i'm having issues with my pics so bare with me). Brandy got some food to feed the goats and sheeps and I think we can all say that was a bad decision. As you can tell by the pics and Ansley's face (what a horrible face) we were basically attacked. Mya was affraid to get down and Ansley was crying and the damn goats kept jumping on Brandy! lol.  After being attacked we quickly left the petting zoo area to find animals that we in cages. lol. We saw plently of animals and can't wait to go back when it cools down. The pics of Ansley were taken at the jungle! :) I love the hat (Mya let Ansley borrow her's since mommy didn't pack one).  The zoo experience with 4 little kiddo's was great and we left a happy, sweaty, hungry, tired group. :)

After the zoo Brandy and I went to Carter's! We had some coupons and got lots of clothes for really cheap! After a few mishaps at Carter's we made it home by 3!

We didn't get to see Zach much on Father's day because he was busy helping my dad with harvest. Ansley gave her daddy his Father's day gifts ( a pic of her and a gift card to go golfing) and he headed to the field for the day.  :(  We did go visit for a few minutes and took a ride in the tractor with papa, but other than a few pics we headed for the ac.

Ansley loves her daddy so much and the excitment on her face when he comes home from work melts my heart! Zach you are a great daddy and we love you bunches! Thanks for everything you do for us! Here are pics of  Zach and Ansley from birth to now!

On Father's Day

Monkey's for my monkey!

I've been thinking a lot lately about Ansley's first birthday party and what theme I want to do! Yes, I know her birthday is 5 months away, but I thought if I started getting a theme together now and order a few things here and there it wouldn't be as expensive when the big day came! So after much thought and hours of looking on the internet, I found this!! I found them here

What better than monkey's for my chunky monkey!! I thought that I wanted to have a monkey theme and started looking a few months ago and found nothing that I really liked. I found this and it is ok, but I wasn't in LOVE with it and almost decided to go with a whole other theme entirely, until I stumbled upon these adorable monkey's (picture above)! I love them and Zach did to!! :)

I've been thinking about party favors as well. of course, we have to do barrel of monkey's and found a few more things that I like, but nothing that I'm really in love with. Any idea's???

And then there is the cake! Do I want to do a cake or do I want to make these adorable cupcakes!?!

 Laura made these for Barrett's birthday and if I decide to make the cake or cupcakes myself, I'll do them in PINK!

I'm up for any money idea's! Help me out all you crafty people!! :) Have a great weekend!

Ten on Thursday!

Seem's like my blog has been neglected over the past few weeks and I'm hoping to get back into posting twice a week! *wish me luck on that* I was sick with a horrible cold and sore throat for over a week and am finally back to normal! I hate being sick. So here is my ten on Thursday that I haven't done in months!!

1. Since summer is here our evenings are spent at the softball fields! Zach was a big baseball player growing up and has been playing mens softball since we got together 6 years ago! 4 days a week you will find him at the softball fields and sometimes us if it isn't a late game!
2. We bought Ansley a little swimming pool from the clearance rack last year! We set it up a few weeks ago and loves going swimming!

3. This weekend Kristi, Brandy and I are going to adventure to the zoo and Carters! Wish us luck with 5 little one's under the age of 2!! lol. It should be interesting. :)
4. Don't forget to leave a comment on Laura's photo blog! We have 22 comments and need 8 more, so please help us out!
5. Been making bow's like crazy for my mom's shop! I think I made 20+ bows over the weekend! Yikes! I was busy!
6. Don't forget to check out my mom's shop that is now OPEN! Initially Your's is located at 108 e 9th in Winfield! Lots of great goodies. KSOK did an open house for my mom last Friday and she had a great turn out!
7. Have the week of 4th of July off this year! Can't wait to spend a couple of days at the lake and clean the spare bedroom. I've gotten so tired of looking at the huge mess in the spare bedroom that I close the door and every few days I go in there and hope that the cleaning fairy comes to clean it for me, but she never does:(
8. Peggy gave us a CD that has video clips of Ansley at her house since she started going there 4 months ago! She's an awesome lady and we would be lost without her! Thanks again Peggy, we will cherish the CD forever! :)
9. Think that we finally decided on Ansley's 6 month pics! It was a hard decision an we bought the rights to 2 pics because we loved them so much!
10. I have really been slacking with taking pictures over the past month! I think I've only taken a handful of pics and got the video camera out once! Thats another goal I have! Take more pics!

7 MONTHS!

That's right another month has passed, another month that my little chunky monkey is not so little and another month that we get to see our little one change! Seem's like this month she has really changed and started doing more things!! She's getting so big already and I'm not sure I'm ready for the next advernture that she's trying to master! CRAWLING! Scary. exciting. fun. nerve racking. Can't wait.
Here are the new things that little miss chunkey monkey has been doing:

• Trying to crawl! Gets on all four's then belly flops! I keep thinking that any day she will take off
• Started pulling herself up to the couch, coffee table and anything else she gets near
• eating baby food like crazy and loves everything but pears and bananna's
• Moved into size 3 diapers this week and 6-9 month clothes
• Has started turning/moving from side to side when in a sitting postion
• Talk's like crazy
• Still not napping very much during the day :(
• Loves bath time and would play in the tub all night if you let her
• starting eating yogurt puffs, mum mums and cheeto's (they look like cheeto's anyway)
• Has a laugh that melts my heart :)
• Loves being tickled :)
• Can hold her own bottle when she wants to (but why would you want to when someone else will do it for you)
• still trying to figure out the sippy cup
• normally eats 6oz of breast milk at a time
• Still not sleeping all night!!!!! Usually gets up twice
• Put's everything in her mouth
• gives open mouth KISSES *love it*

The rocker was mine when I was little! Aunt B made her hair bow! Outfit came from Walmart last year on the clearance rack! Think it was like $4!

 We love you little monkey and we can't believe that you are 7months!! Yikes!  how time flies

This was suppose to be her 4th of July outfit, but Zach said he could barely get her arms in! Guess I will have to make a trip to Carters! YES!!! :)

P.S. My mom's shop is open and located at 108 1/2 e 9th in Winfield, KS. The hats that Ansley wore in the pics are made by my aunt Brenda and can be found at my mom's shop! My grandma made the orange/green capri's (also at my mom's shop), my mom made the flower shirt to match the capri's!! The pink and black outfit is also found at my mom's shop made by Mud Pie's clothing!! I made the hair bows and they can be found at my mom's shop as well!! So hurry and go check it out!! Hat's off to my lil' sis

Ok, so I'm really behind on blogging! With summer here are days are busy enjoying the weather! I can't believe it has been 2 weeks since my little sister Alicia graduated high school. The school decided 3 days before graduation to move the ceremony inside! Let's just say that it was HOT in the gym! I mean really HOT! I'm glad that Zach and Ansley decided to stay at home because it was miserable! The ceremony went great and we can officially say that we have a HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE!

Afterwards, we had her graduation party at our house. We tried out our new deck and had lots of food and cake! Lots of family and friends attended and we had a great time.

Congrats again Alicia, we are so proud of you! Here are pics from her big day! Only 4 more years and we will be doing this again for college:)

The Family! Alicia's dad lives in Georgia and was able to make it home for graduation!

Friday Alicia turned 18!! We {me, zach and my dad} took her to the Casino!! She was mad that she lost her $25 in 5minutes, but we all came out ahead! lol
