Chunky Monkey Hair Accessories and a Sneak Peak!

For the last couple of months I have decided that I am going to start making/selling hair accessories! I've been making bows for Ansley for quite some time and thought it would be fun to try to sell them in my mom's shop! So I have been working like crazy trying to get bows done for the upcoming craft fair. Which is Saturday at the fair grounds from 9-5! You better join us! :)

My mom offically has a business location and as of June 1st Initially Your's will open at 108 e 9th in Winfield. (next to hairspray)! My mom and aunt have been working like crazy so keep your eye out when your in that area for all the changes that will be coming! :) I'm so excited and can't wait for the shop to open in a MONTH!! YIKES! We better get busy!

Senior Prom!

My little sister went to her senior prom last weekend! She looked amazing in her crazy looking dress and might add is Alicia to a "T". She went with a friend (since her bf isn't old enough hehe) and had a good time. She said the music wasn't very good, but in all had a good time at her last prom!

Graduation is coming up in a few weeks and we are having her graduation party at our house on our new deck! :) I can't believe that she is already a senior and will off to Wichita State next year majoring in Nursing! I tired I mean really tried to get her to go to Paramedic school, but she just wasn't having it! :( I even told her that I would pay for her to go to EMT school this summer just to see if she liked it, but nope! Oh well, nursing is a great major and a great job to have! You can't get much better than helping people in need!

Alicia we are so proud of you and you have come a long ways in the last couple of years! And again no call from the police this year after prom. lol

Thinking......

I've been thinking and pondering so many things over the last few weeks (while laying in bed) that I've decided to make a list a see how crazy they look on paper (computer). My husband is the type of person that as soon as he lays his head down on the pillow he is asleep in two minutes, oh but not me. I lay there forever and think and watch Will and Grace or 16 and pregnant. I wish I could go to sleep like he does, but thats not me (i wish it was). :)
ok, so here they are:

• why is it that Ansley moves so much in her crib and everytime I go to check on her she is holding onto the bumper pad with one hand wih her face smashed against it??
• Been thinking a lot about letting her sleep on her belly....... I know, I know Its a no no!! But she is 5 months old and can lift her head from side to side with no problem.... does that make it ok for her to sleep on her belly??
• Are bumper pads safe?????
• Why can you not cover infants with a blanket while they sleep? I have been for about the last week, but worry like crazy that she will smother herself
• Ansley has been sucking her thumb! I hate the thought of having a thumb sucker, but she just won't take a binky.
• thumb sucking= GERMS
• Wonder if Ansley would sleep all night if she was on her belly.. (yes, peggy I've been thinking about this a lot)
• Put her on her belly to sleep last week and Zach freaked out and rolled her over to her side
• Loves to sleep on her side and when you lay her down in the crib she immediately rolls to her left
• Is it crazy that I've been thinking that I want another baby??? (no worries Peggy I won't do that to you) ;)
• How did we get so lucky to have a happy and healthy baby?? (I see tons of sick babies at work and feel so blessed that we have a healthy one)
• Why do I check on Ansley at least 5 times at night before I go to bed
• Never knew I could worry as much as I have in the last 5 months (even over stupid things)
• Is organic baby food really better than regular
• Trying to figure out what sippy cup I want to try and Its driving me crazy
• Gave Ansley a strawberry apple puff (its like a cherrio, but dissolves in your mouth) and she started choking
• Am I trying to make her grow up too fast by giving her cereal and going to start baby food very soon and giving her a sippy cup in 3 weeks?!?
• Why doesn't Ansley nap?!? And why are we not on a schedule for eating and napping?? I love schedules and have really tried to put her on one, but isn't happening!!!!!!

Well there is the list, at least what I can remember and yes, maybe I am crazy lol

Macy Alexis

Little Miss Macy Alexis made an early appearance yesterday afternoon! (13 days early to be exact!). Of course I was at work and didn't get to see the little princess until much later than I would have liked, but thats life I guess!!

Maci Alexis weighed in at 7lbs 5oz and was 19iches long! She was born at 5:17pm. She is a beautiful little thing! :) She has tons of hair and has the cutest little cheeks! Mom and baby are doing great! Here are a few pics and when Brandy gets settled at home I'm sure she will post more pics and all about her near miss at getting an epidural.

Congrats B, Fredo and Mya! We love you guys and are sooooo happy for you! *Fredo and Mya weren't there when I arrived (they were home getting Mya ready to spend the night with grandma) so I don't have any family pics*

Wordless Wednesday

5 MONTHS!

My little chunky monkey is 5 months old today!! :( *sad* It seems like just yesterday that I was in the hospital giving birth to our little princess and now she is getting so big and a personality that I just can't get enough of! I love her so much and can't imagine our life without her! She is a perfect baby and my heart melts every time I look her! I'm working today, so Zach took her pics this morning and i'm loving all the smiles (the shadow bothers me, but still love the pics). This is what our little monkey has been up to this month:

• Been rolling over! From her back to her front and from her front to her back! She picks the days when she feels like rolling over, its not everyday yet. :)
• Been eating cereal twice a day for a few days now and loves it!! She would rather have cereal than nurse! :( I think its a sign that she is ready for baby food and I think in a couple of weeks we will start green veggies
• Started sleeping on her side! (started waking up at 1am again) I'm beginning to wonder if she will ever sleep all night
• loves the exersaucer! Spins around in that thing all day long!
• Eats cereal in her highchair
• getting ready to move into size 2 diapers
• started wearing 3-6months clothes
• loves putting her feet and hands in her mouth
• Still talking like crazy and will lay in her crib and talk away (when she is suppose to be sleeping ;))
• Can sit up for a few seconds by herself (hoping she can sit up by herself for her 6month pics)
• her hair is getting lighter and really starting to grow
• takes most naps in her crib and fights me like crazy when its nap time, but Teresa can put her to sleep in 5min with no problems! I don't get it!!

I think that sums up everything that she has been up to!

Ok, my mom officially has her etsy site up and going!! Check out all the beautiful things that she has made! She has really worked hard in the last month or so and can make anything your heart desires! :) All you girls out there that have just had babies you'll need something from her site! :) Congrats mom we are so proud of you!!

Finished in one weekend!!

We had a busy and productive weekend! The DECK is finished! Zach and his dad set the posts on Thursday evening and on Saturday morning at 8am they started buiding the deck! Zach, Greg, Ed and Fredo all helped and we greatly appreciated all their help! :) The deck looks great and I love it! Saturday it was extremely windy, so Ansley, Teresa and I weren't outside much. When Ansley was napping Teresa and I went outside to help. I think we were more there to help them get what they needed and of course get them beer! The floor of the deck was finshed on Saturday afternoon around 3pm. Zach and his dad headed to Lowes to finish getting the railing for the deck and worked til dark on Satruday. They started back to work at 8:30 on Sunday and with a few breaks (grandmas for dinner) they finshed last night around 7! It was actually nice enough yesterday that Ansley got to enjoy some time outside.

I can't wait for the wind to go away so we can spend all our time outside! Now I need to go to Walmart to get some plants and pots to really make the deck look even better! :) I love planting flowers and maybe if its nice this week I can get some yard work done and flowers planted on our new deck!

I guess I didn't realize how big the deck was really going to be! It is huge and there is plenty of room for everyone to come over and enjoy the deck over a BBQ and margarita's! :) Dates and times on that to come later :) lol.

Easter

The Easter bunny was good to all of us this year! Ansley was of course spoiled by us and both sets of grandparents! I had to work all weekend and missed Ansley's first Easter. :( Zach took lots of pics for me though and Ansley looked adorable in her Easter dress. We went to target last week and found the perfect Easter dress! Zach took Ansley to church with his family and said she was awake through the whole service and was very well behaved. After church Zach's family always has an Easter dinner and a huge Easter egg hunt for all the kids! Ansley peed all over her dress so she was in a different (not so cute) outfit for the hunt. Zach said she picked up a few eggs and got some money and candy on the big hunt. After that he headed to my grandparents for a couple of hours. After I got off work I met them at my parents so Ansley could open her third Easter basket!

Zach said they had a good day and Ansley was in a good mood all day! Just wish I could of been there to see her.

Ansley's baskets were full of clothes, shoes, socks, toys, toys and more toys! She's been playing with her new toys all day and seems to be enjoying them! Thanks gma's and gpa's for the gifts and candy! Here are a few pics of what I missed. :(
