This is what i feel like telling my ob/gyn!! We had our monthly appointment on Friday and of course it was more bad news! I'm not sure if I've ever discussed that I see two doctors. The office that I go to has a male and a female ob/gyn. They want you to see both of them during your pregnancy so your comfortable with whomever you get in the delivery room. Anyway, Friday I had my glucola test which is to check for gestational diabetes! I really never even thought twice that I could have blood sugar issues, but guess what according to their little test i'm 16mg/dl over what they consider normal! Friday morning I got up and drank this wonderful flavored orange crap an hour before my appointment like I was suppose to. It said that i could eat breakfast like normal. So i had a small glass of oj and a nutri-grain bar!! Didn't really think much of it at the time, which is stupid on my part considering I'm in the medical field and deal with diabetics on a daily basis!! The nurse assessed my blood sugar an hour after I drank the glucola and it was 156mg/dl!! It was supposed to be over 140mg/dl!! I'm sure it was thanks to the small glass of oj that I had. So now i have to go for a 3 hour test at the lab! I have to drink more glucola and have my blood taken every hour for 3 hours!! I'm not looking forward to this fun little test! Good news though no protein in my urine! I do have to start taking an iron pill since my hemoglobin was a little low. See don't you agree I should just tell them I'll see you in 11 weeks when she arrives?? :) jk. We start going to the doctor every 2 weeks now, so i'm sure more bad news is heading my way!! lol.
Off to enjoy my Sunday hope you had a good weekend!

Weekend bargains and so much more!!
Last weekend Jamie and I headed to Kansas City for a girls weekend! We left Friday evening and finally managed to find our way home about 1:00 Sunday afternoon! We had a great time and found tons of bargains!! Jamie's sister-in-law lives in olathe and she came shopping with us for a while on Saturday! She took us to a couple second hand stores and found lots of bargains! We went to Children's Orchard a second hand store for newborns and toddlers!! Wow, i was in heaven. I found Ansley tons of name brands things for cheap! I even found a few things with the tags still on them!!! :) I spent $50 and got a wal-mart sack full of clothes! Not to mention the cutest Gymboree jacket and 2 pairs of jeans! I loved that store and can't wait to go back. After that she took us to a second hand maternity store! They didn't have a lot to pick from, but I did find two pairs of maternity jeans! Did I mention that we are all three pregnant!! :) Keisha (Jamie's sister-in-law) is due Nov 7, I'm due the 15 and Jamie is due Feb. 22!! Crazy fun times let me tell you! Before we met up with Keisha we went to a few garage sales. I found a chicco stroller for $10 and Jamie found a bag full of table toppers for 10cents!! She obviously got the bargain garage selling, but $10 for a nice looking stroller isn't bad either! After we took Keisha home we were off to the Legands Mall! I found Ansley her coming home outfit! I love it and hope it fits! We found a few other bargains while we were there and of course got a pedicure! Fun weekend and thanks to Jamie's garmin we didn't even get lost!!
Ansley's coming home outfit!! I love it and hope it fits!
Ok, its official i wore my first maternity outfit this weekend! Sunday after I got home Zach and I went to eat and to a movie that evening! We saw The Ugly Truth! Good movie and would recommend it! I wore a maternity shirt and jeans out for the evening!! First time that this has happened! Let me just say I love maternity jeans and whomever invented them they should be very proud of themselves! They are so comfy and if I knew how cute they really could be I would of started wearing them the day I found out I was pregnant and forgot all about that damn belly band!! lol:) Zach told me today that maternity pants are for when your pregnant and that I can't wear them after Ansley arrives!! lol
We ordered Ansely's dresser over a week ago and it finally arrived yesterday! This morning Zach and put the dresser together and looks pretty good! I've started putting stuff in her dresser, but I'm not sure what exactly should go in there! Hopefully, Brandy will come over later today and help me out!

Zach's parents arrived home late last night from South Dakota! They had a really good time and of course spoiled us rotten with gifts when they returned! Ansley, got a camo outfit from cabella's and a shirt from sturgis! Zach just loves the camo outfit and I'm sure he's going to try to take her hunting in it at 3 months old!

A little smokey!
I'm sure all of you know by now from my other posts that I love/like to cook. It isn't very often that I get to cook with Zach being on 2nd shift and the days I work I don't get home til 7:30 or after. Someday I hope to be able to stay at home and have a home cooked meal for my family every night, but I doubt if that will ever happen. So, back to my story. I was making breakfast pizza for lunch today! Very good if you have never tired it and easy to make! I'll post the recipe at the end! Zach usually helps me cook and today was no different. He was browning the sausage and I was getting everything ready to "build" the pizza. We used ham, sausage, eggs and cheese. As i was pouring the raw eggs over the pizza it started to run off the crust and onto the pan. Zach kept telling me that you need to cook the eggs before you put them in the oven, but of course I didn't listen. So, i put the pizza in the oven, set the timer and off I went to check my email. About 5minute later the house was filling up with smoke! The raw eggs had ran over the pan and was burning the bottom of the oven! All in all the pizza was great and didn't taste smokey! We had to open the windows and light some candles to let the smell air out! It still stinks, but is much better and not smokey!! :)
Recipe for breakfast pizza!
pre-heat oven to 425degrees
Ingredients:
4-5eggs
pizza crust (i buy the one that is already made ,but you could buy the pizza crust that is in the tube-Pillsbury)
cubed ham
1 package shredded cheese
1lb sausage
1 can cream of mushroom
Spread the cream of mushroom onto the pizza crust
brown the sausage (pour over the cream of mushroom when done)
sprinkle ham over the sausage (use as much as you want)
cover with cheese
beat your eggs together and pour over the top of the pizza! (be careful this is where things went bad for me! lol I was using my pampered chef pizza pan, but i would recommend a cookie sheet just in case your eggs run over)
bake for 15-20min or until you eggs are done!
Very good and easy
Happy Tuesday

weekend flashback!
What a busy and wonderful weekend we had! I love having the weekend off and its even better when Zach is off too!
Friday, I made lunch for us and Zach's parents! I don't remember the last time I made a home cooked meal (I love to cook, but my schedule as been so crazy I haven't had time)! It was great we had minute steak, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob and of course home made gravy! After lunch Zach helped me clean house. I believe it had been over a week since i last cleaned house! (that's a long time for me, i clean all the time or i did until i got pregnant and then sleeping became my main priority for the first 3 months anyway). Zach took the day off on Friday and was able to help me do all the house work. (I'll explain later why he took off). Last night Zach went to the Figure 8 races at the fair and I stayed home and watched Mya and Kaiden for Brandy's birthday! Hope you had a good b-day B!! :)
Saturday morning we went to Wichita to get the dresser for Ansley! We also registered at Target while we were there! After we made it home we realized that we got the wrong color dresser! We got dark cherry instead of just cherry! oops! We will have to take it back sometime this week! Saturday evening we went to the demo derby at the fair. I had an onion blossom and a Carmel apple! I missed the funnel cake because I was too full to eat that! :)
Sunday, we slept in til 10:30!! It was great being able to sleep in, but we didn't get home til after 1 on Saturday night! Zach and I put Ansley's crib together that morning! It didn't take long and I absolutely love it!! I looks great! That afternoon we went to Zach's grandparents for Sunday dinner!
Daddy with Ansley's crib
I helped too! :)
All put together in about an hour:)
Back to Zach's job. We found out on Thursday that Zach will be getting laid off in October! We knew that the time would be coming, but never thought it would happen last week! We actually, thought that we would make it til the end of the year, but that's the aircraft industry for ya! :( They had already told everyone in June that the plant would be shutting down for 6 weeks in November, but we never thought he was going to get laid off now! We were actually looking fore ward to 6 weeks off together with our new bundle of joy, but now it looks like Zach will be a stay at home daddy for a while! These are the days that I'm glad I'm in the profession that I am in! People always need an ambulance :) (He took off on Friday to use up his vacation before the lay off)
I started this blog 6 months ago when we found out that we were pregnant, but I haven't talked about all the things that have changed with my body and mind! I'm 25 weeks now and feel like I have grown so much in the past few weeks! Here are a few things that i have been doing or has changed since being pregnant:
-I get terrible leg cramps at night that wake me up in my sleep!
-I'm getting up at least once in the middle of the night to pee (this started a few weeks ago)
-My lower back is starting to kill me again!
-I've never rubbed so much coco butter on my belly, legs and breasts before in all my life! (huge fear of stretch marks)
-My belly button is trying to "pop" out
-Its getting harder to stand from a sitting position
-I swear I eat every hour! lol
-I wore my first pair of maternity jeans yesterday (thanks b)
-I pee every hour or two during the day (she is sitting right on my bladder)
-The most important and exciting part is that I actually have boobs now!!! :)
That's all I can think of so far, but I think that I'm already nesting!! I really want to get her room done and her clothes put away! I can't wait til she arrives!
25 weeks!
I wrote this on Monday, but I'm just now getting around to posting it
